Project Description
The water quality and quantity studies for the Beetaloo Sub-basin SREBA assessed groundwater chemistry and levels, and better characterised aquifer parameters, intra- and inter-aquifer connectivity, recharge and discharge processes for regional aquifers overlying the Beetaloo Sub-basin. This study was led by the Northern Territory Government Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security, Water Resources Division.

Abstract
The Wiso Basin water management area (the study area) covers an area of almost 32,000 km2 southwest of the township of Daly Waters and west of the Stuart Highway. The development of a Water Allocation Plan for this area forms part of the Northern Territory Government’s (NTG) commitment to implementing recommendations of the Scientific Inquiry into Hydraulic Fracturing in the Northern Territory. This report summarises the water resources and natural water balance that relate to the Wiso Basin water management area that forms part of the Georgina Wiso Water Allocation Plan (the Plan).
