Project Description
The water quality and quantity studies for the Beetaloo Sub-basin SREBA assessed groundwater chemistry and levels, and better characterised aquifer parameters, intra- and inter-aquifer connectivity, recharge and discharge processes for regional aquifers overlying the Beetaloo Sub-basin. This study was led by the Northern Territory Government Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security, Water Resources Division.

Abstract
The depth to groundwater raster provides a projection of estimated depth to groundwater (metres below ground level) for the CLA system within the Beetaloo Sub-basin Water Studies region. It is an interpolated projection calculated by subtracting the potentiometric surface raster from the 1-sec SRTM digital elevation model surface raster. DTW (depth to water) values used to create the potentiometric surface raster have been taken from the NTG water database within the May to December period (i.e. not monsoonal months) from the last 5 years (2018-2022) and referenced to a ground level elevation.
