Project Description
The water quality and quantity studies for the Beetaloo Sub-basin SREBA assessed groundwater chemistry and levels, and better characterised aquifer parameters, intra- and inter-aquifer connectivity, recharge and discharge processes for regional aquifers overlying the Beetaloo Sub-basin. This study was led by the Northern Territory Government Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security, Water Resources Division.

Abstract
The Bukalara Extent shapefile provides a projection of the known areal extent of the Bukalara Sandstone formation within the Beetaloo Sub-basin extended SREBA Water Studies region. It has been developed using a combination of lithological descriptions from bore completion reports and petroleum well completion reports from the last 30 years. While it is likely the formation extends across a much broader area than depicted, confirmation would be required through further field-based investigations.
