Project Description
The water quality and quantity studies for the Beetaloo Sub-basin SREBA assessed groundwater chemistry and levels, and better characterised aquifer parameters, intra- and inter-aquifer connectivity, recharge and discharge processes for regional aquifers overlying the Beetaloo Sub-basin. This study was led by the Northern Territory Government Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security, Water Resources Division.

Abstract
Compilation of existing data from the primary aquifers (Gum Ridge/Tindall/Montejinni, Anthony Lagoon, Cretaceous and Bukalara) of the Beetaloo Sub-basin region for the purpose of characterising apparent spatial, temporal and hydrostratigraphic variations in water quality parameters.
The published dataset includes NT Government data only. Additional datasets were sourced from CSIRO, Geoscience Australia and the Power and Water Corporation.
Data quality was evaluated by assessing the balance of positive and negative ions in each sample. Sample data was rejected where the positive and negative ions did not balance.
