Project Description
The methane and greenhouse gas baseline studies for the Beetaloo SREBA established a methane baseline, reference sites and a program for ongoing monitoring. To do this, the survey measured ambient methane concentrations across the region, used a basin conceptual model to rank areas of potential geological seeps, identified and characterised potential methane sources and identify indicators relevant for ongoing monitoring. This study was led by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO).

Abstract
Methane measurement data was collected for the methane and greenhouse gas baseline fire season survey. The data contains methane concentrations from mobile surveys undertaken in October 2021. This data was used for spatial occurrence of methane concentrations as part of baseline analysis
