Project Description
The environmental health baseline studies for the Beetaloo Sub-basin SREBA conducted a sub-project to determine a regional baseline for air quality. This study established baseline for regional air quality and dust levels, and collated existing air quality data to identify sources of natural and other air pollutants and characterise their variability. This sub-project was led by GHD.

Abstract
Compilation of collected suspended dust and meteorological monitoring results from the five air quality stations set up around the Beetaloo Sub-basin region (Manbulloo, Mataranka, Daly Waters, Bullwaddy Conservation Reserve, and Elliott) for the purpose of characterizing spatial and temporal variations in air quality parameters.
Equipment was set up by ALS Environment and data analysis was undertaken by GHD.
As part of the data quality assurance procedure, the data was reviewed and adjusted as required to take into account the following:
- Negative readings
- Calibration drift
- Equipment errors
- Correction factors based on compliance-standard monitoring results
This is further described in the Air Quality Monitoring Report.
