Project Description

The water quality and quantity studies for the Beetaloo Sub-basin SREBA assessed groundwater chemistry and levels, and better characterised aquifer parameters, intra- and inter-aquifer connectivity, recharge and discharge processes for regional aquifers overlying the Beetaloo Sub-basin. This study was led by the Northern Territory Government Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security, Water Resources Division.

Abstract

Compilation of existing environmental tracer data from the primary aquifers (Gum Ridge/Tindall/Montejinni, Anthony Lagoon, Cretaceous, Bukalara and Kalkarindji Suite) of the Beetaloo Sub-basin region for the purpose of characterising spatial, temporal and hydrostratigraphic variations in regional groundwater flow regimes. The published dataset includes NT Government data only. Additional datasets were sourced from CSIRO, Geoscience Australia and the Power and Water Corporation.
