Project Description
The water quality and quantity studies for the Beetaloo Sub-basin SREBA assessed groundwater chemistry and levels, and better characterised aquifer parameters, intra- and inter-aquifer connectivity, recharge and discharge processes for regional aquifers overlying the Beetaloo Sub-basin. This study was led by the Northern Territory Government Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security, Water Resources Division.

Abstract
This review and re-analysis of aquifer pumping test data for the primary aquifers overlying the Beetaloo Sub-Basin region has been undertaken as part of the Strategic Regional Environmental and Baseline Assessment (SREBA) water quality and quantity studies committed to by the Northern Territory Government (NTG) as part its acceptance of all 135 recommendations of the Scientific Inquiry into Hydraulic Fracturing in the Northern Territory. The report seeks to provide a re-interpretation of historic and recent aquifer test data to derive hydraulic parameter estimates for transmissivity and storativity, as well as estimates for the degree of inter-connectivity between primary aquifers of the Cambrian Limestone Aquifer (CLA) system.
